Sixteen cities, three countries: the map of Mondial 2026

This is the largest World Cup there has been. 48 teams, 104 matches, 16 host cities across the United States, Canada and Mexico. The scale is the story before a ball is even kicked.
The geography matters as much as the football. Sea level in some stadiums, altitude in Mexico City. Heat in the south, coastal cool up north. Teams will play opponents, but they will also play the travel and the weather.
Wherever you are on the map this summer, a World Cup match is closer than it has ever been. That is the whole point of staging it here.
