Japan fight back twice in late draw vs. Netherlands

Japan keep finding ways to make the world watch. Twice behind against the Netherlands, they twice came back, and Daichi Kamada's goal a minute from time sealed a 2-2 draw that felt like a win.

Virgil van Dijk headed the Dutch in front in the 51st minute, but Kaoru Nakamura answered within six, finishing a Takefusa Kubo pass. Crysencio Summerville restored the lead on 64, and the Netherlands looked set to hold on.

They could not. Kamada arrived in the 89th minute, Kosei Ogawa the provider, to complete the comeback. The Netherlands will rue dropped points; Japan, once again, look like they belong.
